This policy covers pursut.com and the messaging service Pursut runs for its contractor clients. Short version: we collect only what the service needs to run, we never sell it, and you can ask us what we have or ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Lead form fields — name, business, phone, email, and the message you type into the Get Started form on pursut.com.
- SMS metadata and content — when we run messaging for a contractor: the messages sent and received on their tracked number, the phone numbers involved, timestamps, and delivery status.
- Quote-open events — when a customer opens a tracked estimate link we log the time, IP address, and browser user-agent. That's how the contractor knows a quote is being read.
- Call events — missed-call records on a contractor's tracked number (caller number, time). We do not record calls.
Why we collect it
One reason: to run the service — answer your inquiry, send the follow-ups, reminders, and review requests a contractor hired us to send, and show that contractor what happened. We don't use this data for advertising and we don't build profiles for anyone else.
Who we share it with (processors)
We never sell personal data. We share it only with the vendors that run the service:
- Twilio — sends and receives the text messages and calls.
- Render — hosts the application and database.
- Cloudflare — DNS and traffic protection in front of the site.
- Stripe — billing for Pursut's own clients (contractors). Customer payments never run through Pursut — pay links point at the contractor's own payment processor.
- Notion — where new sales leads to Pursut itself are tracked.
Opting out of texts
Reply STOP to any message and texting to your number stops immediately. See the SMS Policy.
Retention
We keep records for as long as the contractor is a Pursut client, because the message history is their customer record. When a contractor leaves, their data is exported to them on request, and we aim to delete it from our systems within 90 days (copies may persist briefly in routine backups before they cycle out). Lead-form submissions to Pursut itself are kept while we're in contact and deleted on request.
Your rights (CCPA, Florida Digital Bill of Rights)
If you're a California or Florida resident — and as a courtesy, anyone else — you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, or
- confirm we don't sell it (we don't, full stop).
Email hello@pursut.com and we'll respond within 45 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

As the service evolves we may update this policy; the date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page. Questions about anything here — just email us.
